USF Tampa campus has established a Medical Response Unit (MRU) Program! The MRU provides free on-scene Basic Life Support medical interventions for your Bull and any guest visiting the USF Tampa campus Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm. Please note: the MRU should not replace 9-1-1.
The MRU is staffed by state and nationally certified paramedics, EMTs, and emergency medical responders and can provide courtesy medical transportation to and from Student Health Services, the USF Health Morsani Institute of Health, and on-campus residence halls. Free medical treatment can be provided on campus to students, family, guests, and visitors.
Please share this Tampa campus resource with your Bull. As the MRU does not replace 9-1-1, if your herd is not sure who to call, it’s best to call 9-1-1.
Some examples of when to call 9-1-1 versus the MRU are listed below.
9-1-1 | The MRU |
